Alan Maher
Certified Tax Expert
Alan is a certified tax expert at the Slovenian Institute of Auditors and a trustee in insolvency proceedings at the Ministry of Justice. With 18 years of experience, he specializes in tax consultancy, specifically in corporate reorganizations, taxation of companies involved in research and development, mergers and acquisitions, and complex tax-legal issues related to corporate income tax and personal income tax. He has actively participated in international projects for corporate restructuring and conducted numerous financial and tax due diligence reviews in Slovenia, as well as in Central and Eastern European countries, representing both buyers and sellers.
Alan previously worked in the Czech Republic as a tax structuring specialist for real estate companies in an international audit firm. Since 2009, he has served as a permanent correspondent for the Dutch organization IBFD, focusing on direct taxes and judicial practice in Slovenia. Since 2016, he has been a member of the audit committee of the supervisory board in an international corporation. He is fluent in English and German.
